Magellan Air delivers one ATR42-300 to Swiftair
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the sale of one ATR42-300(sn254) aircraft to Swiftair (Spain), bringing to five the number of ATR42 (3) and ATR72 (2) supplied by Magellan Air to the Spanish Airline.
The aircraft was manufactured in 1991 and was owned by GPA-ATR Limited, Magellan Air is the lease manager of the GPA-ATR portfolio of aircraft.
Magellan Air has a portfolio of over 50 aircraft with over 30 customers in 20 countries.

Magellan Air sells one ATR42-300 to First Air
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the sale of one ATR 42-300(SN 125) aircraft to First Air (Canada). The aircraft was manufactured in 1989 and was owned by GPA-ATR Limited, Magellan Air is the lease manager of the GPA-ATR portfolio of aircraft.
Magellan has a portfolio of over 50 aircraft with over 30 customers in 20 countries and its clients include US regional operator American Eagle, Irish regional Aer Arann, French operator Airlinair and Danish carrier Cimber Air.

Magellan Air sells another ATR 42-300 to Swiftair.
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the sale of one ATR 42-300 (SN 231) to Swiftair (Spain). The aircraft which was manufactured in 1991 was previously operated by Air Atlantique (France). Magellan Air sold one ATR 72-212 aircraft and one ATR 42-300 aircraft to Swiftair in 2003.
Magellan Air manages a fleet of almost 50 aircraft and leases aircraft to 15 customers in 14 countries worldwide.

Magellan Air sells one ATR 42-300 aircraft to Nordic Aviation Contractor.
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the sale of one ATR 42-300 (SN 176) to Nordic Aviation Contractor (Denmark). Magellan Air manages a fleet of over 50 aircraft and leases aircraft to 17 customers in 14 countries worldwide.
The aircraft was previously operated by Danish Air Transport (Denmark), Muk Air (Denmark), Air Sicilia (Italy) and Trans States Airlines (USA) since being delivered new in 1990. The aircraft was owned by GPA-ATR Limited, Magellan Air is the lease manager of the GPA-ATR portfolio of aircraft.

Magellan Air sells three ATR 42 aircraft to three airlines.
Magellan Air is pleased to advise that it has sold three ATR 42-300 aircraft to airlines in Europe, Canada and the Pacific Rim.
One aircraft (SN 242) was sold to Swiftair S.A. (Spain) while its sistership SN 209 was sold to Cameco Corporation (Canada) for operation by West Wind Aviation (Canada). In addition Air Vanuatu (Vanuatu) purchased SN 223 on a finance lease for use on new domestic and international routes.
While Swiftair currently operates one ATR 72-212 the aircraft are the first ATR 42-300 aircraft to be operated by each airline. All the aircraft were owned by GPA-ATR Limited and were previously operated by American Eagle, regional affiliate of American Airlines. Magellan Air currently leases ATR 72 aircraft to American Eagle on behalf of GPA-ATR Limited. October 10th, 2003.
Magellan Air places two ATR 42-320 aircraft with West Caribbean Airways
Magellan Air has leased two ATR42-320 aircraft (SN 142 and SN 261) to West Caribbean Airways. The aircraft had previously been on lease to ACES, a member of the Alianza Summa Group.
West Caribbean Airways is based in Medellin Colombia and was established in November 1999. The airline now operates a fleet of 10 aircraft, comprising of Let 410s, MD-80s and ATR42-320 aircraft, on 22 routes between Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica.

Magellan Air leases a second ATR 42-300 aircraft to Air Wales
Magellan Air has leased a second ATR 42-300 aircraft (SN 196) to Air Wales, based in Swansea airport (UK). The aircraft was delivered to the airline on 11th September 2003.
Air Wales recently replaced its fleet of Dornier 228 aircraft with the ATR 42 and now operates four of the type to various destinations in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Magellan Air leases one ATR 42-300 aircraft to Air Wales
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the lease of one ATR 42-300 aircraft (SN 329) to Air Wales, based in Swansea airport (UK). The aircraft, owned by PLTC (Prop Leasing and Trading Company) was delivered to the airline on Friday 1st August 2003.
Air Wales has recently replaced its fleet of Dornier 228 aircraft with ATR 42 aircraft. The airline now operates seven routes from Cardiff and Swansea airports to various destinations in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Magellan Air sells one ATR 72 to Swiftair on behalf of debis AirFinance.
Magellan Air is pleased to advise that it has sold one ATR 72-212 (SN 274) aircraft to Swiftair S.A. (Spain) on behalf of debis AirFinance. Magellan Air arranged the sale and also provided technical assistance to debis AirFinance. Swiftair have taken delivery of the aircraft and intend to operate the aircraft in a freighter role.
The aircraft was previously operated by American Eagle, regional affiliate of American Airlines. Magellan Air currently leases ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft to American Eagle.
Magellan Air has also acted as exclusive remarketing agent for ATR 42 aircraft from the American Eagle fleet.

Magellan Air signs lease with new customer
Magellan Air is pleased to confirm the lease of one ATR 42-300 (SN 118) to Air Lithuania, based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Magellan Air manages a fleet of over 50 aircraft and now leases aircraft to 17 customers in 14 countries.
Air Lithuania is replacing their last Russian Yakovlev 40 with an additional ATR 42. The airline now operates an all ATR fleet to destinations in Denmark, Germany and Sweden.
The aircraft was previously operated by Inter-Canadian (Canada) and Islandsflug (Iceland) since being delivered new in 1988. The aircraft is owned by GPA-ATR Limited, Magellan Air is the lease manager for all 20 aircraft in the GPA-ATR portfolio. March 10, 2003
Magellan Air arranges lease of a Boeing 757-200 aircraft to Titan.
Magellan Air is pleased to advise that it has arranged the lease of one Boeing 757-200 aircraft (SN 26151) to Titan Airways (UK). The aircraft was leased from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and was previously operated by Monarch Airlines (UK). The airline has already taken delivery of the aircraft.
This lease adds the first 757-200 aircraft to the Titan fleet which includes ATR 42-300, B737-300, BAe 146-200 and King Air aircraft. The airline which was founded in 1988 is based in London Stansted airport (UK) and is one of the leading charter airlines in Europe. |
